Phanofi is a DTU spin-out designing the photonic interconnects that will power the next generation of AI datacenters and quantum computing. Our integrated transceiver chips push the limits of bandwidth while cutting the energy cost of moving data, one of the defining bottlenecks of modern compute.

We are a small, diverse, and ambitious team, and we are looking for a Senior Analog ASIC Design Engineer to take ownership of the design, simulation, and verification of our high-speed RF integrated circuits. If you want your work to ship in silicon and shape how the world's data moves, read on.


Key Responsibilities

  • Invention: Brainstorm and conceptualize next-generation, high-risk/high-reward analog ASIC architectures with the team.

  • Modelling: Validate concepts early with high-level, idealised circuit models before committing to silicon.

  • Design & Simulation: Architect and design high-speed RF circuits from concept through tape-out.

  • Verification: Perform circuit verification across every stage of development, from block-level to full-chip tapeout.


What We Are Looking For

  • Education & Background: MSc or PhD in Electrical Engineering or a related field, with a strong foundation in RF theory and analog circuit design.

  • Hands-on ASICs expertise: Proven track record in designing high-speed RF and analog electronics circuits, testing and characterization.

  • EDA Environments: Proficiency in Cadence Virtuoso and Ansys HFSS.

  • Analytical mindset: Strong analytical skills and a structured approach to debugging complex analog behaviour.

  • Team Player: You thrive in a fast-paced, cross-functional, and multicultural team, and you raise the bar for those around you.


Ways to Stand Out

  • Analog IC designs operating at bandwidths from DC to beyond 100 GHz.

  • Design experience with transimpedance and variable-gain amplifiers.

  • A track record as a chip-level analog system architect.

  • Background in photonics and/or datacenter interconnect systems.

  • Familiarity with chip packaging and its impact on RF performance.

  • Experience across multiple process nodes and foundries.
